McDonald’s Australia is part of a global multi-national organisation which operates within the hospitality and quick-service restaurant industry. McDonald’s operates across 120 countries with over 37,000 restaurants and serves over 50 million customers every day. McDonald’s Australia opened first restaurant in 1971, and now has over 1000. McDonald’s has hired around 1.3 million people and has a current workforce of over 105,000 employees serving 1.7 million customers daily.

McDonald’s Australia is committed to the ongoing development and training of its people investing more than $40 million annually. This includes a wide range of inhouse training programs and courses to support, build and develop leadership capabilities. Additionally, McDonald’s Australia has been a Registered Training Organisation for more than 20 years. Last year, more than 5,000 participants were processed by the RTO. Many corporate employees and franchisees have either progressed through the restaurants or worked at a McDonald’s restaurant while studying.
