Finite operate a dynamic and high performing entrepreneurial culture. They are driven by six core values underpinning everything Finite do, guiding their behaviour and defining their culture and the way they choose to do business every day, creating a superior experience for their clients, consultants and colleagues. Continuous service excellence and delivery innovation; annual inward investment in new systems and processes; ongoing professional development for our staff; and their long standing and growing community outreach and support for good causes are all the company’s priorities. Finite’s culture is one of entrepreneurial collaboration and energetic high performance. The enthusiasm and energy of their teams powers their success by connecting great people with amazing opportunities.
Finite’s four main services are: permanent recruitment; contract recruitment; executive recruitment; and payroll services. These are provided by a team of very talented and passionate recruitment experts and support staff with sophisticated quality managed systems, processes and procedures in place. They are very much a people business largely servicing mid-sized to large corporates’ and government organisations. Anti-discrimination training is provided to all Finite employees, and online learning modules, including the impact of unconscious bias in decision making, are readily available. Finite scores highly in annual assessment for workplace gender equality and are fully compliant with the Gender Equality Act, and Finite believe that their business continues to directly benefit, as a result.
Finite’s senior leadership lead by example. Their management structure is not hierarchical and most managers physically work alongside their teams. An open door policy is led from the top with Finite’s MD available to attend meetings, interview staff, participate in rewards and recognition events and even attend birthday celebrations with employees of all levels. Finite’s senior management drive a culture that is “we are all in it together”. Inclusion and participation is actively promoted, for example, the introduction of a quarterly employee nomination award for ‘living the company values’, has been very well received. Finite strongly believe that a better trained, informed and motivated workforce is critical in meeting their goals. By developing a culture based on inclusion, integrity and trust, where communications are open and accessible to all, the Finite workforce collectively and consistently work towards achieving their goals and objectives. This is demonstrated by the continuous development, growth and results of the Finite business.
Finite recognises that employee retention and motivation is not only driven by reward and recognition, but also intrinsically linked to non-financial strategies such as, flexible and remote work options, additional annual leave options both paid and unpaid, company well-being programmes and staff discounts and benefits. An example is Finite’s partnership with HCF in order to offer all employees a generous health insurance discount with a leading health insurance provider. Finite management also recognise that employees are their number one asset and indispensable to the success of the business. Finite has a clear HR policy of equity, impartiality and justice for all employees: balanced treatment for all in terms of rewards, absence of favouritism in hiring and promotions; lack of discrimination and a formal process for appeals. This culture allows Finite employees to understand they have every opportunity to succeed in a supportive and fair performance organisational framework.
Finite places the utmost importance on maintaining a healthy, safe and secure work environment for all employees. All employees, internal and external, both new or existing, must complete a mandatory online Workplace Health and Safety induction module that addresses risks and hazards in the particular jobs they undertake, with the objective of delivering key information to reduce the risk of injury to workers. Achieving a healthy, safe and satisfied workforce is a very important aspect of this wider ongoing initiative.
