Opening its doors in 2003, Charterhouse’s founding recruiters had a vision of building a recruitment organisation with foundations of trust and putting people first, colleagues, candidates and clients.  Charterhouse consultants are dedicated discipline experts in their specialist recruitment fields – this allows each consultant to provide unparalleled service to clients and candidates alike. Being privately owned allows Charterhouse to adapt, change, evolve and invest as often as it likes. Decisions are made swiftly to meet the needs of the business, clients and staff.

Based in Sydney and Melbourne, Charterhouse works with highly regarded brands across a wide range of industries and government departments. Its track record of being one of the top five to ten recruiters for long-standing professional service agreements demonstrates true dedication to our clients’ businesses and the candidate’s best interests.

Charterhouse currently has 5 operating entities: Charterhouse Partnership provides all back office white collar staff across Australia, Asia Pacific and the UAE; Charterhouse Financial Services provides all back office, mid office and front office recruitment across all Banking and Financial Service Institutions, including Risk Management, Compliance, Asset and Fund Management of all levels; Charterhouse Government is the 4th largest panel provider (out of 350 in total) to NSW government across all categories of staff for contingent labour; Charterhouse Medical provides locum and permanent recruitment solutions to metro and regional hospitals and medical institutes across Australia for all medial disciplines; Charterhouse Executive Search for C-suite positions across Australia, including COO’s, CFO’s, CEO’s, Heads Of and VP’s.

The ISO 9001 certification reflects Charterhouse’s organisation’s commitment to quality, leadership, systems and the sound and stable processes which can deliver consistently safe services that meet the customers’ and Health authorities’ expectations.

Everything that Charterhouse does starts with a brilliant and united team of impassioned, highly qualified and fun, professional consultants, who have chosen recruitment as their career. They’re dedicated to their clients and candidates while championing diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.

Charterhouse has a strong culture around diversity and equality. It currently employs over 100 consultants from a range of nationalities and ethnic backgrounds. Charterhouse practices a philosophy of equal opportunity and non-discrimination; and an excellent live, yardstick of this is that the Management team is 43% female.  This is a strong focus for the business, with consistent reflection on how they can “know better, do better”.

Charterhouse is proud to be recognised as an Employer Of Choice in the Australian Business Awards 2019. Charterhouse’s success to date has been solely down to its people, and this award recognises the effort that all of our employees have made in terms of helping create a culture that promotes amongst other things, inclusiveness, support, and personal and career development. Our credo of “people over placements, always” sits at the heart of everything we do, and our desire to provide customers with best in class service can only be achieved if we have people who believe it, who have the skills to deliver it, and the motivation and passion to do so consistently. Our staff, and the environment we have all helped shape, are the most important parts of enabling this to happen.
