Buildcorp is a privately owned and operated commercial construction company, established in 1990 by Tony Sukkar AM and Josephine Sukkar AM. With offices across the east coast of Australia, the company services a wide variety of public and private sector clients, with projects spanning the disciplines of commercial construction, refurbishment, building upgrades, fit-out, remedial building, heavy industrial projects and architectural joinery.
These projects are delivered by four specialist business units of Contracting, Interiors, Asset Solutions and Euroline, supported by a centralised Group Support Services structure and a strong Executive Management team. This team is drawn predominately from our internal talent pool, demonstrating a preference to develop and promote leaders from within.
The Group is supported by a six member Advisory Board, comprised of highly regarded members of the business community, and chaired by David Mortimer AO. The Board works alongside the Principals to steer the strategic direction of the organisation and contribute more broadly to thought leadership within the sector.
The building and construction industry is a significant driver of economic activity, accounting for approximately 10% of Australia’s gross domestic product, and employing nearly 10% of the total workforce of the nation (approximately 1,040,000 employees). Construction operates within a highly regulated environment where organisations and their employees and contractors are required to comply with local, State and Federal Government building standards, environmental codes and safety controls. It is a complex, competitive, and dynamic sector.
Buildcorp has successfully delivered almost $5 billion in projects across multiple sectors in NSW, Queensland and Victoria. It employs over 300 staff and has an annual revenue of approximately $500 million. Built on an underlying philosophy of great teamwork, partnerships and collaboration, it prides itself on being a place where people feel empowered, valued, and part of the family.
