Following the completion of the probation period, Detmold’s employees are introduced to a comprehensive Performance Development Program – Success at Detmold. Detmold has invested significantly in e-training, consisting of online modules which can be accessed across all areas of their business. By up-skilling their workforce they are providing their people with the tools to be the best they can be, not just for their current roles, but also for their future positions.

Detmold undertakes a variety of initiatives designed to reward employees such as The Annual Awards Night, Christmas hampers and a social club. Detmold takes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing adopting a multi-layered approach to providing a range of health and wellbeing services. Examples of their initiatives include bowel screenings, fitness camps and annual flu vaccinations. Entrant organisations are required to demonstrate their achievements across the key areas of Organisational Culture; Leadership & Strategy; Employee Education, Training & Development; Employee Health, Safety & Satisfaction; Performance Management; Recognition & Remuneration.

The Employer of Choice Framework is utilised as a structured model of assessment that enables the participating organisations to be benchmarked against world class performance standards.

The key attributes of the Employer of Choice Framework define the characteristics of high-performing, industry leading organisations that provide a stimulating and supportive workplace. The criteria and sub-criteria provide a robust set of requirements that are used as the methodology for benchmarking and learning among the participating organisations.

Entrant organisations are required to demonstrate their achievements across the key areas of Organisational Culture; Leadership & Strategy; Employee Education, Training & Development; Employee Health, Safety & Satisfaction; Performance Management; Recognition & Remuneration.
